International Yoga Day 2020

International Yoga Day is celebrated on 21 June every year since 2015. Yoga is physical, mental and spiritual exercise that is origination from India. The aim of Yoga is to make world healthy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi address the UN general assembly in 2014 to celebrate the Yoga day. Report says that in the first Yoga day event dignitaries from 84 nations perform the 21 Yogasan in 35 minutes at Rajpath,New Delhi.

Theme for Yoga Day 2020

The theme for International Yoga Day 2020 is Yoga for Health – Yoga at Home. As in the pandemic time of COVID-19 it is mandatory to have social distancing so all the training institute, Park Yoga classes are close now but online classes and practice of Yoga at home is on highly practice. People are doing Yoga at home to improve immunity system and deal with stress.

Yoga Day Program in India

Although in pandemic time of COVID-19, Ministry of Ayush and Government of India started a program “Yoga at Home, Yoga with Family” to encourage people to do Yoga.

On the Yoga Day prime minister Narendra Modi will address the nation on 6.30 AM. Also practice of yoga will be done with trainers.

Ministry of Ayush is promoting Yoga with various eye catching tweet.

Apart from this, Many celebrities are come forward to promote Yoga day event and encourage people to do Yoga for healthy and fit life. Art of living also shares a funny video about Yogi’s to say that Yoga is for everyone.
